In preparation for the return of the iconic Rainier “R” later this year, the brand’s parent company, Pabst, has launched an online campaign where people can help “Restore the R.”

Seattlepi.com reported Tuesday that the campaign involves “a website where people can complete challenges that light one of 250 bulbs on a virtual ‘R.’”

According to the site, people who participate in the challenges will have a chance to see the restored R lit up at a ceremony at the Museum of History & Industry in December.

The R once stood atop the Rainier Brewery, but was removed when Tully’s Coffee took over the space in 1999. It was replaced with a green T.
