Whatcom County Community H1N1 Flu Clinics

The clinics will be limited to persons in high priority groups who live, work, or go to school in Whatcom County.

The following clinics will take place at the health department State Street office. Call for an appointment.

Mon, November 23 8:30 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00-4:30 PM Tues, November 24 8:30 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00-4:30 PM Thur, December 3 8:30 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00-4:30 PM

Because of limited supply, vaccine is only available for those in the following priority groups:

Healthcare providers and emergency responders Pregnant women People who live with or care for children under 6 months of age, as children under 6 months cannot be vaccinated Everyone from 6 months to 24 years of age Those 25 to 64 years with high risk medical conditions that place them at high risk for complications from the flu

Unless there are medical reasons preventing the use of nasal vaccine, nasal spray will be used when available in order to reserve injectable vaccine for those who cannot use nasal.

COST: There is no out-of-pocket cost for the H1N1 vaccine to those attending a clinic. However, if you have insurance please bring your insurance cards as an administrative fee may be billed to your insurance provider.

Additional H1N1 clinics will be scheduled as more vaccine shipments are received.

As production of vaccine increases, it is anticipated that there will be enough for anyone requesting the H1N1 vaccine.
