CENTRALIA, Wash. —

A woman in her 60s was locked in her bathroom while a man rummaged through her home Wednesday morning, said the Centralia Police Department.

The woman told police when she opened the door for a man he pushed his way in, blindfolded her and forced her into the bathroom. Police said he secured the bathroom from the outside and began rummaging through her home.

He eventually left with a small safe and the woman’s car.

The incident happened before 8 a.m. in the 1000 block of West First Street in Centralia. The woman was not hurt.

Police are looking for the man and continuing to investigate.
