Woman Stabbed, Robbed Outside Lake Forest Park Elementary

LAKE FOREST PARK, Wash. —

Lake Forest Park police are searching for two men who stabbed and robbed a woman behind an elementary school early Monday morning, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Police said the woman was walking behind Lake Forest Park Elementary on Ballinger Way and 37th Avenue Northeast at about 12:50 a.m. when two men approached her, shined a flashlight in her eyes and demanded her jewelry, which consisted of three earrings and a wedding ring.

Police said the victim was then stabbed once in the lower back.

Both men ran from the scene and may have left in a car a block or two away from the attack, officers said.

The victim told police one man spoke Spanish and the other English. She heard the Spanish-speaking man say the word “Luna” about five times during the incident, investigators said.

The woman walked and called 911. An ambulance then took her to Harborview Medical Center.

Police used a K-9 unit to search for the attackers, but did not find any suspects.

The first man is described as a Hispanic who spoke English, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an average build and short hair. He was clean shaven and was wearing blue jeans.

Police said the second man was Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a heavier build than the first man, clean shaven and had scarring, possibly from acne, on his face. He was wearing blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Steve Parken at 206-957-2860.
