Woman's Body Found On Beach Near Grayland

GRAYLAND, Wash. —

The Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office is investigating the discovery of a woman's body on the beach near Grayland Friday morning.

Undersheriff Rick Scott Rick said the woman, who appears to be in her 40s, may have been the victim of a boating accident.

Scott told KIRO 7 items found on the beach that suggest the woman may have been onboard a boat.

The Coast Guard tried flying over the area looking for wreckage but bad weather kept choppers grounded most of the day.

Scott said there were no reports of overdue vessels or missing people that match the woman.

Investigators have not yet identified the victim.

The Pacific County Sheriff's Office is also involved in the investigation as the woman's body was discovered a few hundred yards north of the Pacific County line.
