Worker Killed In Fall At Crystal Mountain Ski Area

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN, Wash. —

A worker at Crystal Mountain Ski Area was killed on Thursday when he fell while painting a chairlift tower.

The 40-year-old Kent man was a contract worker who was painting the Rainier Express lift in a basket. He was somehow knocked out of it at about 10:30 a.m. and fell about 40 feet.

He was conscious when other workers found him, but he stopped breathing and they could not revive him with CPR.
