The plane, with two men on board, disappeared from radar screens minutes after it left Boeing Field just before noon on Oct. 19.

Hikers found what they thought was debris from a plane wreck three weeks ago, but didn't call authorities until Saturday, after they saw a flier about the missing jet.

Authorities said they found personal effects of the victims and human remains.

The pilot, Rocky Stewart and his business partner, Scott Smith were flying the two-seat trainer L-39, a former Czechoslovakian military jet, to Lewiston, Idaho. Stewart reported control problems minutes after takeoff. The plane disappeared from radar after that.

A search was launched covering 2,400-square miles where the plane could have gone down.

After ten days, the search was called off.
