OLYMPIA, Wash. —
Olympia police have arrested a youth football coach who is accused of molesting and attempting to rape a 14-year-old player.
Derwin Pasley, 32, was arrested Monday night and booked into the Thurston County Jail on one count of child molestation, attempted rape and unlawful Imprisonment.
Detectives told KIRO 7 the incident involving Pasley occurred on Saturday after the coach had given a 14-year-old player a ride home from a football game.
Investigators said Pasley stopped his car in the Olympia apartment complex where the player lives and then allegedly fondled the player.
Detectives said the coach then exposed his own genitals, locked the car doors and tried to force the boy to perform a sex act.
The boy resisted and detectives said Pasley eventually unlocked the doors and let the teen go.
Pasley has been a long-time coach for the Black Hills Junior Football League.
