Gonzaga's Vandersloot Goes To Chicago Sky In WNBA Draft

SEATTLE —

The Chicago Sky made Gonzaga point guard and former Kentwood star Courtney Vandersloot the third overall pick in Monday's WNBA Draft.

"I am very surprised," Vandersloot told ESPN, according to the Chicago Tribune. "There are a lot of players in this room who could have gone in this spot."

The Seattle Storm Tweeted that Vandersloot is scheduled to return to the Northwest with the Sky on September 11.

One of KIRO 7's Twitter friends, @LaurenDewey, is Tweeting the draft, pick by pick.
