SEATTLE —

A vague media advisory was sent out Monday afternoon which said its client, B2 Inc., wants to build a privately-financed sports/entertainment/exposition facility in downtown Seattle.

The letter from WongDoody Communications said that an announcement for the plan would come at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.

A call was placed to WongDoody, but the company would not reveal any further information.

Some are speculating that the plan could be a last effort to keep the Sonics in Seattle.

This advisory comes weeks after local businessmen proposed their own plans to split the bill for a KeyArena renovation with the public in order to buy the team from owner Clay Bennett. Bennett maintained that the team was not for sale.

Neither the governor's office nor the mayor's office would comment on the proposal.

According to KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Monique Ming Laven, a source high in county government said that former Sonic Fred Brown is one of the pitchmen behind the plan.
