Did you feel it? 'Microquake' shakes Puget Sound

SEATTLE —

A "microquake," as KIRO 7 Meteorologist Morgan Palmer explained it, hit Puget Sound at about 1:45 p.m. Friday.

 

The USGS initially measured the quake at 2.6 on the Richter scale, but later downgraded it to a 2.5. It struck at a depth of about 15 miles in an area below the Puget Sound between Bainbridge Island and Seattle.

 

There were no immediate reports of any damage or shaking as a result of the quake.
