Heavy Snow Expected In Cascades



SEATTLE —

Forecasters warned of heavy snow Monday afternoon through Tuesday on the east slopes of the northern Cascades above 3,500 feet.

Snow was expected to develop on the west slopes of the Cascades above 4,000 feet Monday afternoon, with accumulation of up to two inches.

The snow level will drop to 3,500 on the west slopes, with another two inches falling Monday night, forecasters said.

Snow showers are likely on Tuesday, with another inch expected at elevations above 3,000.
