A snow advisory is in effect for Friday as six to 10 inches of snow is likely by the end of the day in the northern and central Cascades.

In the lowlands, rain is expected Thursday night and Friday morning.

Unsettled weather is expected to persist through early next week as a series of Pacific storms continues moving across the area.
