The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for urban areas of King, Snohomish and Kitsap counties because of heavy rain and melting snow.
Water collected on roadways and low-lying areas for the second morning in a row.
Water about six inches deep was pooling on Aurora Avenue at Mercer Street in Seattle at 5 a.m., at the same spot where flooding caused the road's closure during Tuesday's commute. By 8 a.m. the road was clear.
Snoqualmie River Running Fast
Flood warnings were in effect for the Snoqualmie River in King County, the Skykomish, Snohomish and Stillaguamish Rivers in Snohomish County, the Skokomish River in Mason County, the Nooksack River in Whatcom County and the Skagit River downstream to Sedro-Woolley in Skagit County.
A flood watch continued for rivers in Lewis, Thurston and Grays Harbor Counties.
King County posted Phase Three Flood Alerts for both the Tolt and Snoqualmie rivers in East King County. The county opened its flood warning center to monitor and respond to flooding in the Snoqualmie Valley.
The warm front dropped a record 2.06 inches of rain Tuesday at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, breaking the previous record for the date of 1.28 inches, set in 1955.
