The National Weather Service says snow accumulations of 10 to 14 inches are expected through Friday above 3,000 feet in the north and central Cascades, and five to nine inches in the south Cascades.

In addition, an advisory for dense fog is in effect overnight for southern portions of Eastern Washington.

It covers the Columbia Basin, the Yakima and Kittitas valleys and the Blue Mountain foothills.

Visibility is expected to be less than a quarter of a mile in some areas with temperatures below freezing, so roadways may become slick as fog droplets freeze on the surface.
