Wappler: What A Month!

No doubt everybody has a story to tell about this November, which seems certain to go down in history as one of the stormiest, nastiest months we've ever seen. From the record rain (more than 15.5" and still counting here on this last day of the month), to floods, winds and snow, we experienced every single weather phenomenon known to meteorology -- short of perhaps a tornado and a hurricane!

Consider that in the last 30 days we have had:

A single day's rain of 3.29" on the 6th, making that one of the wettest days ever recorded at SeaTac. A monthly rain total greater than any recorded at SeaTac by a huge margin -- 15.59" versus the old record of 12.92". Winds of more than 90 mph for the coast and 70 mph for the Puget Sound area. Heavy thunder and lightning over Seattle and the suburbs. Snow, ice and even "thunder snow" this past week. Record cold temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday. And amazingly, even a tsunami warning from an earthquake in Asia.

Oh, we also had a perfect, sunny day -- on November 1st to start the month. Talk about false advertising!

Now that it's all over, take a breath, relax . . . remember the start of winter is still three weeks away.
