Devils Sign Trio Of Players

POSTED: 10:06 am PDT June 13, 2007

(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils signed defensemen Andy Greene and Matthew Corrente Wednesday, as well as forward Jari Viuhkola.

The 24-year-old Greene played in 23 regular-season games last season for New Jersey, scoring one goal and adding five assists. In 11 postseason contests, Greene picked up two goals and an assist.

Corrente, 19, was selected by the Devils with the 30th overall pick in the 2006 draft. He spent last season in the Ontario Hockey League and will attend training camp with New Jersey in September.

Viuhkola has played the last seven seasons in the Finnish Elite League. Last year, the 27-year-old recorded seven goals and 38 assists in 37 games with Karpat Oulu.
