NHL Linesman Provost Dies

New York, NY -- National Hockey League linesman Stephane Provost died Friday in Florida after he was involved in a motorcycle accident.Provost, a native of Montreal, was only 37-years-old. In his 10-year career, Provost worked 695 games, which included 72 during the 2003-04 campaign. He made his NHL debut on January 25, 1995. "Stephane strived for and achieved excellence as an NHL linesman," NHL director of hockey operations Colin Campbell said in a statement. "We extend our deepest sympathies to Sandra and the family."
