Flames Sign Zyuzin

(Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames announced on Saturday that they have signed defenseman Andrei Zyuzin. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Zyuzin tallied 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 57 games with 50 penalty minutes last season for the Minnesota Wild.

The Russian native has played in 415 career games with Minnesota, New Jersey, Tampa Bay and San Jose, tallying 109 points (34 goals, 74 assists) and 378 penalty minutes.

Jarome Iginla's first hat trick of the season propelled Calgary past Los Angeles, 5-2, at Staples Center. Daymond Langkow and David Moss also scored and Jay Bouwmeester added a pair of assists for the Flames, who had dropped three of four coming in. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 23 shots for his 12th win of the season. Drew Doughty and Alexander Frolov each tallied once for the Kings, who have dropped two straight at home. Jonathan Quick suffered his second straight loss and fifth in seven starts by allowing all five goals on 32 shots.
