Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, Benaroya Hall occupies an entire city block and houses two individual performance halls; the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium and the Nordstrom Recital Hall. The former seats 2,500 guests, while the recital hall seats roughly 500. Since opening in September of 1998, Benaroya Hall has firmly established itself as one of the leading live entertainment venues in the greater Seattle area.
The Hall is currently home to the Seattle Symphony, and so, as can be expected, symphonic music has become a real highlight on the Benaroya Hall schedule. The venue is also available for private events and the schedule welcomes everything from weddings and benefits, to lectures and corporate functions.
