A peninsula jutting into south Lake Washington creates this 299-acre park with swimming beach, hiking trails and more. Seward Park's grassy meadow leads to the swimming beach, where summer lifeguards and a children's play area often draw families. For a flat, paved stroll, try the 2.5-mile loop along Lake Washington. Forest trails and an upper paved loop are slightly more challenging. From downtown, Metro bus 39 gets you there.
