Description: This favorite is perfect for enjoying a well-prepared meal and people watching. Since 1980, it's been a popular, bustling spot on Broadway in Capitol Hill. Don't be put off by the interior showing some wear. It's worth the wait, and worth the money. They've recently put in more tables, cheered up the otherwise droopy (low ceilings) and dark interior by purchasing Spanish-tile type tablecloths, and refinished Spanish-cafe whitewashed chairs.

Steak, chicken and a special vegetarian fajita abound as customers' favorite (though pricey).

Recommendation:
Lunch buffet because it is extensive, with build-your-own tacos, burritos, taco salads, and a daily chef special. An excellent value, all-you-can-eat for $6.25 between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
