The Melting Pot
Description: With locations in both Seattle and Tacoma, the Melting Pot is a fun place to go for the adventurous diner, groups, or a date. The restaurant is spacious but cozy, with private booths where couples huddle around the table's built-in burner deciding which delight to dip next. While the various cheese fondues served with fresh breads, vegetables and apples are delicious, for the full experience, try one of their dinners for two, which includes salad, your choice of cheese fondue, the entree course and one of their incredible desserts. The entrees are various combinations of steak, poultry and seafood, with everything from duck to Andouille sausage and served with a variety of imaginative sauces and vegetables. They are then prepared in one of several cooking styles, such as Coq Au Vin, which combines the flavors of fresh herbs, mushrooms, garlic, imported spices and a hearty burgundy wine. This restaurant is all about choices, and the Melting Pot has plenty of them. If you're indulging in the full meal, be sure to allow several hours for the process, as fondue is something that cannot be rushed.Make your reservations in advance; the Melting Pot is always busy.
