Seafair Scholarship Program for Women
Enriching the lives of young women in Greater Seattle through education, philanthropy and community involvement.
The Seafair Scholarship Program for Women is one of Seattle’s time-honored traditions. Dating back to 1950, it was originally designed to select articulate young women as Seafair representatives, greeting visiting dignitaries and sharing the Seafair message. Almost sixty years later, the Program has evolved into one that rewards academic ambitions, celebrates diversity, and showcases future leaders.Following an intense schedule of speaking engagements and community appearances, outstanding participants receive college scholarships, and one is given the title of Miss Seafair and serves for one year as a representative for the Seafair Festival.Seafair Commitment to Scholarship Program Participants · Recognize academic achievement with scholarship awards for college tuition
