Amazing Adventures
The 2008 Parade Theme: Amazing Adventures, will celebrate the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest and the many adventures it has to offer.

The Southwest Airlines Torchlight Parade is the largest nighttime parade in the Pacific Northwest with more than 300,000 people lining the streets of downtown Seattle. Precision drill teams, community floats, regional and international bands, equestrian units, giant helium balloons, comical clowns and swashbuckling pirates all come together in downtown Seattle to celebrate true family and community entertainment.

Get There Early!
The parade begins at 7:30 p.m. from the Seattle Center and viewing time is approximately 2 hours. Parade-goers arrive downtown as early as 7 a.m. to secure their favorite curb-side location each year. They come toting blankets and coolers packed with sandwiches, soda and treats. Some even bring tents, living room furniture, small refrigerators and computers!
