Alaska Crash Survivors Treated At Harborview

KETCHIKAN, Alaska -- Alaska state troopers have identified the five victims and four survivors in Thursday night's airplane crash north of Ketchikan. Three of the survivors are being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported. Troopers said the survivors include the pilot, Clifford Kamm, and Sara Steffen, both Ketchikan residents. The other two survivors are three-year-old Allison Smith of Tualatin, Oregon and Mindy Mayer of Oregon City, Oregon.A Harborview representative said Kamm is in serious condition, Allison Smith is in critical condition and Mayers is in satisfactory condition. The victims include Eric Smith, Christine Smith and 3-year-old Trevor Smith of Tualatin, Ore. The other victims were David Mayer of Oregon City and Daniel Herron of Irvine, California. Troopers said the next of kin have been notified. The investigation into the crash continues. The plane was a De Havilland Beaver 345KA, owned by SeaWind Aviation.
