Jamie Peterson

My nomination for a nurse with outstanding service is Jaime Peterson. I met Jaime early this year at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance where I have been a patient since January. Every part of Jaime's being is dedicated to care of the patients that she attends. From her warm inviting smile to her immediate recognition of you when you arrive for an appointment for her professional knowledge and feedback and for making you always feel so very special when you are with her she is the best. When I was hospitalized for chemo therapy at the University of Washington Medical Center she made a point of seeking me out for a little visit far above and beyond her "call of duty" and job description I'm sure. While I was there for major surgery she made certain that she was my attending nurse for the entire stay (she was working extra hours at the Medical Center to do so). As I have continued my visits to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance she has always made a point of "popping" her head in to see me even though she was not my assigned nurse at the time. When the grips of cancer have sometimes brought me down she has been a ray of sunshine the most uplifting person that I have come in contact with to date. She loves the field that she is in how fortunate Seattle is to have her among their own.
