Los Angeles Clippers (15-30) At Boston Celtics (36-9), 7:30 P.m.
(Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Clippers will resume a seven-game road trip when they pay a visit to the Boston Celtics tonight at TD Banknorth Garden. The Clippers are 1-2 on the trek and ended a two-game slide with a 103-94 victory over the New York Knicks on Monday at Madison Square Garden. Corey Maggette returned from a four-game absence because of the flu and scored 19 points to lead the way. Chris Kaman, who was also stricken by the flu and a nagging shin injury, returned after missing five games to register 15 points and nine rebounds. Cuttino Mobley had 14 points, five assists and five rebounds, as Los Angeles improved to 5-15 as the guest this season. LA will also visit Toronto, Philadelphia and Milwaukee on the current swing. In injury news for the Clippers, forward Tim Thomas (back) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against Boston. The Celtics are back at home after suffering a 114-113 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday at Quicken Loans Arena. Boston, which is 20-4 as the host this season, got 24 points from Ray Allen. Rajon Rondo scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Paul Pierce had 19 points in defeat. All-Star forward Kevin Garnett missed his fourth game in a row with an abdominal strain for Boston. Garnett is out indefinitely. Los Angeles and Boston are meeting for the first time this season. The Clippers are slated to host the Celtics on February 25 at the Staples Center. The Clippers went 2-0 against Boston last season and have won three in a row in the series. LA has won two straight and three of the last four games in Beantown.
