Phoenix Coyotes (31-36-7) At San Jose Sharks (48-15-11), 10:30 P.m.

(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks will try to stretch their home winning streak to five games tonight, when they welcome the Phoenix Coyotes to HP Pavilion.

The Sharks enter this contest having lost back-to-back road contests following a three-game win streak. After rallying to force extra time in a 6-5 shootout loss in Chicago on Wednesday, San Jose blew a two-goal lead to fall in Nashville, 3-2 on Thursday.

Evgeni Nabokov made 30 saves, but allowed three goals in the second period to take the loss. Devin Setoguchi had a goal and an assist to run his point streak to five games, while Milan Michalek notched a helper to give him points in five consecutive contests as well.

Joe Pavelski also scored for the Sharks, who are 30-3-4 at home this season and have also won seven of their last nine as the host. San Jose is tied with Detroit for the top record in both the NHL and the Western Conference with 107 points after the Red Wings' lost to the New York Islanders on Friday.

The Sharks were without Jonathan Cheechoo against the Predators due to a lower-body injury, while Rob Blake has missed the last three contests with a lower-body ailment as well. Both skaters are questionable for tonight.

The Coyotes have lost seven of their last 10 games overall, but are coming off Thursday's 3-2 victory over Edmonton. Matthew Lombardi posted a goal and an assist to give him four goals and eight points in 11 games with Phoenix since being acquired from Calgary.

Martin Hanzal and Ken Klee also scored for the Coyotes, with Klee notching his first goal of the season. Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 26 shots to collect his 24th win of the year.

Phoenix, which is 14th overall in the West and 11 points out of a playoff spot with eight contests to play, has dropped five straight and 11 of its last 14 on the road. The Coyotes are 11-22-4 as the guest this season.

The Coyotes and San Jose have split four meetings so far this season, though Phoenix has lost two straight and six of its last seven in San Jose.

These two Pacific Division rivals end their season series on April 9 in San Jose.
