(Sports Network) - The New York Knicks hope to avoid an 0-3 start when they open a four-game homestand Saturday night versus the Atlantic Division-rival Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden.

New York hasn't started a season with three straight defeats since commencing the 2005-06 campaign with five losses in a row. It lost 102-100 in double overtime last night to the Charlotte Bobcats on the road, as double-double machine David Lee ended with 17 points and 18 boards in a losing cause.

Nate Robinson and Al Harrington also ended with 17 points apiece, while Danilo Gallinari netted 16 points for the Knicks, who erased an 18-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force OT and lost their season opener in Miami on Wednesday.

"We shouldn't be looking for moral victories, wins and losses," Harrington said on the team's official site. "We shouldn't have lost this game so we should be very upset with ourselves. We blew a great opportunity."

The Knicks will also host New Orleans, Indiana and Cleveland at MSG.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, rebounded from a season-opening loss in Orlando by handing the Milwaukee Bucks a 99-86 setback Friday from the Wachovia Center.

Andre Iguodala bounced back from a rough first game by posting a game-high 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for the 76ers, who got 17 points from a healthy Elton Brand. Samuel Dalembert had a strong game with 10 points and 12 boards to help head coach Eddie Jordan get his first triumph with the Sixers. Jordan was hired to replace interim coach Tony DiLeo in the offseason.

"It was a gutsy, gut it out type win," Jordan said. "Samuel (Dalembert) defended the rim, Andre (Iguodala) did a nice job of taking over late and Lou (Williams) was the quarterback."

Williams and Thaddeus Young ended with 16 and 13 points, respectively, in a winning effort.

The 76ers swept the four-game season series from New York in 2008-09 and have won five straight, nine of 10 and 13 of the last 15 meetings between the teams. Philadelphia is unbeaten in two straight trips to the Big Apple.
