Pistons Visit Central Division-Rival Bucks

(Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons will try to continue their dominance of the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, when the two Central Division rivals get together at the Bradley Center.

Detroit won three of four meetings with the Bucks last season and is 14-4 in the past 18 encounters. It has also won two straight and five of the past six contests in Milwaukee.

The Pistons suffered their first loss of the season on Friday, as Oklahoma City handed them a 91-83 setback at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Ben Gordon had a team-high 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists in his home debut for Detroit, which won at Memphis on Wednesday in its first game of the season. Rodney Stuckey ended with 21 points for the Pistons, who were without Richard Hamilton because of his sprained right ankle. Hamilton is questionable for this evening's game.

"We just got stagnant," Gordon said. "We got away from the ball movement we had in the first half. In the first half, we had a lot of penetration and kick-outs, guys moving the ball. We just got away from that, and that kind of hurt us."

Ben Wallace totaled 12 boards, three assists and three steals in the setback. Detroit forward Charlie Villanueva will make his return to Milwaukee after the unrestricted free agent signed a five-year deal with the Pistons in July. The former UConn star played the last three years with the Bucks.

Milwaukee lost its season opener Friday night in Philadelphia, as it suffered a 99-86 setback at the Wachovia Center.

Michael Redd had 17 points for the Bucks, who were playing their season-opener after missing the playoffs for a third straight year and struggling to a 34-48 record in 2008-09. Milwaukee's first round draft pick, Brandon Jennings, had a solid effort in his NBA debut with 17 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

"People are going to pick up the stat sheet and see, rightfully so, we didn't shoot the ball well from the perimeter," said Bucks coach Scott Skiles. "We didn't shoot well from three, we didn't shoot well from the line and had too many turnovers."

The Bucks were 7-of-23 from three-point territory, 11-of-19 from the line and committed 20 turnovers.
