San Francisco, CA -- (Sports Network) - San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Isaac Bruce is inactive for Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears due to an ankle injury.

Bruce, who has played in all eight games -- six starts -- this season for the 3-5 49ers, will miss the first game in his two-year tenure with the team. He has 20 catches for 244 yards this season.

Also inactive for San Francisco are cornerback Nate Clements, running back Glen Coffee, center Cody Wallace, offensive tackle Joe Staley and defensive end Demetric Evans.
