Los Angeles Clippers (4-7) At New Orleans Hornets (3-8), 8 P.M.

(Sports Network) - The New Orleans Hornets must move on now that All-Star point guard Chris Paul is sidelined indefinitely with a sprained ankle. Tonight they'll try to stop a three-game slide in the opener of a three-game homestand versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

Paul left Friday's loss versus Portland after falling awkwardly on his left ankle late in the third quarter. He drove to the basket and was met by Trail Blazers center Joel Przybilla. The guard went up for a jump-pass and came down on Przybilla's foot. He was then helped to the locker room by teammates and an MRI exam confirmed the sprain. There is no timetable for Paul's return, and he's averaging 23.8 points, 9.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds a game.

New Orleans continued its losing ways in a 121-98 decision to Atlanta on Saturday, as Peja Stojakovic scored 25 points and David West pulled down 12 boards to go along with eight points in defeat.

"[We're] trying to figure out how to stay in the game and get a win, particularly now that Chris is injured," Stojakovic said. "We've all got to step up at both ends of the floor."

The Hornets will also host Phoenix and the Hawks on the residency.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will continue a three-game road trip Tuesday and put the brakes on a three-game slide with Sunday's 101-93 triumph at Oklahoma City in the opener of the trek.

Baron Davis scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half and Chris Kaman tallied 25 points and seven rebounds for the Clippers, who will also visit Memphis on the swing. Al Thornton finished with 20 points for Los Angeles.

"We did a much better job down the stretch," said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy. "We executed, we got points. We got stops when we needed them."

New Orleans defeated the Clippers, 112-84, on November 9 this season at Staples Center and has won 10 straight against them. Los Angeles is winless in its last four as the guest in this series.
