Golden State Warriors (3-7) At Boston Celtics (8-3), 7:30 P.M.
(Sports Network) - Boston's six-game winning streak to start the season is in the past and the suddenly-slumping Celtics hope to get back on track tonight versus the Golden State Warriors at TD Garden. The Celtics have lost two straight and three of five games to fall to 8-3 this season. They are coming off Saturday's 113-104 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse, as Ray Allen recorded 24 points to lead Boston. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce each scored 15 points in the loss, while Kendrick Perkins ended with 13 rebounds and 11 points. Pierce is probable for tonight's game with a sprained left knee. "Danny Granger getting 29 points, you live with that," Perkins said. "The other guys hit crucial shots at the end. They had more energy. Their transition defense was incredible at times. At the end of the day they just played harder." The last time Boston dropped three straight games was when they suffered four losses in a row from January 4-9, 2009. Golden State will wrap up a five-game road trip Wednesday and has lost two straight and three of four games. In Tuesday's 114-108 loss to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Monta Ellis had 23 points and eight assists for the Warriors, who are 1-5 away from Oakland this season. Corey Maggette finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Anthony Morrow and Stephen Curry netted 18 and 14, respectively, in defeat. "We had several opportunities to make some good plays to try to get a win," Maggette said. "We had some open looks that we missed. Overall, I thought our team did a decent job." Warriors forward Vladimir Radmanovic had 11 points and five rebounds in his first game since being acquired from Charlotte on Monday. Golden State also received Raja Bell with Stephen Jackson and Acie Law heading to the Bobcats. Bell did not play as the Warriors dressed just seven players, and is expected to under wrist surgery. Golden State and Boston have split the last 12 meetings, but the Celtics have won 13 of the previous 17 contests as the host in this series.
