Charlotte Bobcats (3-7) At Philadelphia 76ers (4-6), 7 P.M.
(Sports Network) - A pair of slumping clubs get together tonight in the City of Brotherly Love, as the Charlotte Bobcats try to stop a five-game losing streak against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center. The Bobcats dropped their fifth game in a row with Monday's 97-91 loss at Orlando in the opener of a three-game road trip. Stephen Jackson made his Charlotte debut and contributed 13 points with nine rebounds, going 4-of-14 from the floor. "I think he played great," said Bobcats coach Larry Brown. "He is an 80 percent free throw shooter so he made some free throws, took it to the rim and made some passes that we weren't used to seeing. I love him and he gives us flexibility." Jackson was acquired from Golden State on Monday in exchange for Raja Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic. Guard Acie Law headed to Charlotte as part of the deal. Jackson signed a three-year contract extension with Golden State last November, but requested a trade during the summer. Flip Murray recorded 31 points to tie a career-best for Charlotte, which fell to 3-7 this season. Charlotte will also visit Milwaukee on the road swing and is 0-5 as the visitor this season. The 76ers have dropped two in a row and four of five games, including Saturday's 94-88 setback at Chicago. Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams scored 24 and 20 points, respectively, for Philadelphia, which got 16 points from Thaddeus Young. "It's a struggle to get all the pieces, work together and get over that hump," said Sixers forward Elton Brand, who had 11 points in defeat. "We play well in spurts, but we just don't play (well) the entire game." Sixers center Marreese Speights suffered a partially torn MCL in his left knee and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks of action. The second-year product of Florida is averaging 13.0 points and 6.4 rebounds this season. Charlotte went 3-1 against Philadelphia last season. It has lost seven of the nine meetings at the Wachovia Center.
