Toronto Raptors (5-6) At Utah Jazz (4-6), 9 P.M.
(Sports Network) - The Utah Jazz return home Wednesday hoping to get back on the winning track against the Toronto Raptors at EnergySolutions Arena. Utah has dominated the Raptors recently, taking eight straight games in the series and winning the last four in Salt Lake City by an average of over 15 points. The Jazz finished a four-game road trip on a losing note in Cleveland on Saturday when LeBron James scored eight of his 21 points in the final minute, as Cleveland pulled out a gritty 107-103 win over Utah. Carlos Boozer recorded 25 points and 12 boards against his former team, while rookie Eric Maynor filled in admirably for star guard Deron Williams with a 24-point effort for Utah, which has alternated wins and losses for seven games and finished 2-2 on the trek. "You've got to over and take the charge," said Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. "We reached in and fouled him. You try to get your body over in front of the guy. It's easier said than done. He does the same thing to other teams." The Jazz expect a boost tonight with the return of Williams to the lineup. Williams, who is averaging 20.4 points and 9.9 assists this season, missed the final two games of the team's road trip to be with his daughter as she went through some medical tests. The Raptors, meanwhile, fell to 1-2 on a four-game road trip in the Rocky Mountains on Tuesday when Carmelo Anthony continued his strong start to the season, making 12-of-15 shots, on the way to a 32-point night as the Denver Nuggets ran past Toronto, 130-112, at the Pepsi Center. Rookie DeMar DeRozan led the way with 17 points for Toronto, which lost its second in a row on the trek. Jose Calderon finished with 16 points and seven assists, while Marco Belinelli also scored 16 in the loss. Chris Bosh, who ended with 13 points and 14 rebounds, hit 1-of-2 free throws to pull the visitors even at 74 with nearly eight minutes left in the third quarter. The Nuggets then embarked on a 7-0 run and they were in front the rest of the game. "We talked about trying to control tempo and we turned the ball over 10 times in the second half," said Raptors coach Jay Triano. "That's what fuels their tempo and gets them up and down. We had no answer for them." The Raptors were without forward Hedo Turkoglu, who was sidelined with a sore left hip, in Denver. The Turkish star is listed as questionable for tonight's contest.
