Warriors, Thunder Clash In Okie City

(Sports Network) - The improved Oklahoma City Thunder finish a five-game homestand tonight when they welcome the Golden State Warriors to Ford Center.

The Thunder fell to 2-2 on the residency last Friday when Kevin Garnett had 23 points and eight rebounds to help the Boston Celtics take down Oklahoma City 105-87.

Kevin Durant had a game-high 36 points while Russell Westbrook added 15 points for the Bobcats, who had won three of four coming into the game.

"We got beat by one of the best teams in basketball," said Oklahoma City coach Scott Brooks. "To beat a team like this you have to come out with your 'A' game and we didn't tonight."

The Warriors, who are kicking off a five-game road trip tonight, dropped their third straight game in Oakland Saturday night when Vince Carter went 12-of-12 from the foul line on his way to 27 points while dishing out seven assists and grabbing five rebounds, as the Orlando Magic used a late run to take down Golden State 126-118.

Monta Ellis poured in 33 points and dished out seven assists for the Warriors, who have dropped five of six overall. Anthony Randolph had career-highs of 28 points and five assists. He also grabbed 13 rebounds. C.J. Watson added 17 points in defeat.

"Well I thought we played a great game. Had some turnovers by our young players, but it's to be expected. I normally wouldn't have a young player (Stephen Curry) in there for a game deciding situation, but with eight guys available he's almost got to be in that situation," said Golden State coach Don Nelson. "I probably would've had him in there anyway because he was playing so well. We got their attention for sure, and made them play. We gave them quite a game,"

Golden State, which split a four-game season series with Oklahoma City last year, will also visit New Jersey, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia on its trek.
