SEATTLE—Western Washington viewers have made it clear: KIRO 7 Eyewitness News is becoming their top choice for news at 11 pm Monday through Sunday.

Overcoming a gap of 1.8 rating points in November 2006, KIRO 7’s 2.7 rating, 12 share in adults 25-54 at the end of the November sweep was just .1 from KING 5’s 2.8 rating, 12 share. Last year KIRO delivered 29 percent of the rating points at 11 pm for this demographic; this November it increased to 36 percent. Year-to-year, KIRO grew eight percent in the same demo.

KIRO 7 also narrowed the gap at 5 pm in the same demographic: last year KING 5 led by 3.2 rating points and today by only 1.5.
