206.728.2375 mlanderson@kirotv.comSEATTLE—Western Washington viewers have made it clear: KIRO 7 Eyewitness News is becoming their top choice for news at 11 pm Monday through Sunday.Overcoming a gap of 1.8 rating points in November 2006, KIRO 7’s 2.7 rating, 12 share in adults 25-54 at the end of the November sweep was just .1 from KING 5’s 2.8 rating, 12 share. Last year KIRO delivered 29 percent of the rating points at 11 pm for this demographic; this November it increased to 36 percent. Year-to-year, KIRO grew eight percent in the same demo.KIRO 7 also narrowed the gap at 5 pm in the same demographic: last year KING 5 led by 3.2 rating points and today by only 1.5.“At a time when people have more ways to get their news than ever before, these ratings reflect the continued commitment by the KIRO 7 Eyewitness News team to inform and engage our viewers,” said Eric Lerner, KIRO-TV vice president and general manager. “On television and online at kirotv.com, they know they can count on us for local, live and late-breaking news.”KIRO 7 was in the top spot in other demos at 11 pm:
