Jeff Nguyen joined KIRO 7 after spending 2½ years at the CBS affiliate on the Central Coast of California.

Before stepping in front of the camera, Jeff worked as a field producer for FOX News Channel. He covered Hurricanes Ivan and Frances in Florida and the aftermath of the Tsunami in Southeast Asia in 2004.

Prior to that, Jeff worked as a field producer for the NBC show "Access Hollywood." He got to interview celebrities on the Red Carpet.

His career began in local news in his hometown of Los Angeles where he started as a news writer in college.

He's earned an Associated Press Award for Investigative Reporting. He's also been nominated for two Emmys in the Los Angeles TV market.

Jeff graduated from UCLA with a degree in Political Science.
