Sam Argier

Sam Argier is the Morning Meteorologist for KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. Along with news anchors Chris Egert and Julie Francavilla, Argier will help viewers plan their day and get ready for the week ahead.

"Sam's style of making sure the weather is clear and easy to understand fits right in with what people want here in Western Washington," says Todd Mokhtari, KIRO 7 news director and web manager. "Sam also knows that when the weather is severe, he needs to help guide the viewers through the forecast."

Argier was most recently the Chief Meteorologist at KMIR 6 News in Palm Springs, California. He received an Emmy Award and Mark Twain Associated Press Award for his work there. He holds seals of approval from the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. Argier has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Chapman University in Orange, California and has completed his meteorology studies at Mississippi State University.

In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, going to concerts, and visiting his family in Las Vegas. He and his wife Lauren have a Scottish Fold cat named Bailey.
