Tear gas, pepper spray and rubber bullets greeted Kyle to Seattle when he arrived in 1999. For 17 hours, he reported from the front lines of the WTO protests. The coverage earned KIRO 7 Eyewitness News numerous awards and sent Kyle to the Emmys for best live breaking news reporting.From the devastating wildfires in Oroville to a suspected terrorist at the Canadian border, Kyle has just about seen it all. He was the only Seattle television reporter live in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho when Aryan Nations leader Richard Butler lost a historic judgment.After graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in broadcast journalism, Kyle began working at KDOC-TV in Orange County, California. Next, Kyle spent four years at KCAL-TV in Los Angeles before moving to Santa Barbara, California as Bureau Chief for KSBY-TV. Later, he became reporter and fill-in anchor for KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara.In his free time, Kyle likes to snowboard, run, and go to the movies.
