KIRO 7's Bremerton Translator Switching To Digital Friday

WHAT
KIRO 7 will switch the television translator in Bremerton from analog channel 54 to digital channel 26, allowing viewers in the Bremerton area to pick up KIRO 7 on their DTV-capable sets or with a digital-to-analog converter box.

Note: A VHF-UHF antenna is required to receive KIRO 7 and other DTV stations located in the Seattle area.

Note: This switch does not affect cable or satellite viewers in the Bremerton area.

WHEN
Friday, April 3

WHY
Currently, some residents in the Bremerton area cannot receive the KIRO 7 signal. Switching to digital channel 26 will allow them to receive KIRO 7 over the air.

HOW
Bremerton-area viewers with a DTV-capable television set or using a converter box must rescan channels on April 3 to ensure reception of all stations in their local area.

ALERT
Reminder: Viewers must have a DTV-capable television set or use a digital-to-analog converter box to watch KIRO 7 on digital channel 26.
