KIRO 7 Profiles is a periodic magazine program showcasing prominent people in our community.
In this edition, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Anchor/Reporter Mona Locke spends the day with Governor Christine Gregoire, who talks about everything from enduring the toughest gubernatorial race in our state’s history to her personal bout with breast cancer and life in the Governor’s mansion. KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Andy Wappler tells the story of Ed Viesturs who is considered America’s premier mountaineer and the only American to have climbed the 14 highest peaks in the world.
KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Anchor Margo Myers introduces us to Dr. Bonnie Dunbar, a woman who left Washington at a young age to become a NASA astronaut and has now returned to the Northwest to become the new director of the Museum of Flight.Also in this edition of “KIRO 7 Profiles,” KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Anchor Steve Raible introduces us to Trimpin, a Seattle sound sculptor who’s making art out of recycled material and gaining notoriety for his extrodinary creations."KIRO 7 Profiles" is written and produced by Emmy award-winning producer Ben Saboonchian. “KIRO 7 Profiles” is hosted by KIRO 7 Eyewitness News Anchor Margo Myers and Anchor/Reporter Mona Locke.
