Rick VanCise

Weathercaster, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News

Rick VanCise joined KIRO 7 Eyewitness News in January of 2004 as weekday morning and noon meteorologist.

Rick is extremely familiar with the Seattle market, beginning in 1981 as a news anchor, reporter and bureau chief for the award-winning KIRO Radio team. He began his television career at Seattle’s KOMO-TV in 1995 as a news anchor, reporter, meteorologist and traffic anchor. Rick has also managed news departments at KOMO Radio in Seattle and KFBK Radio in Sacramento. He is a graduate of the Mississippi State University Broadcast Meteorology Program.

Rick has lived in the Seattle area most of his life. He and his family live in Issaquah, but get away often to their island cabin on Puget Sound. In his spare time, Rick enjoys sailing, hiking, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
