Eric Lerner is the vice president and general manager of KIRO-TV. He joined the CBS affiliate in April of 2006. From 2001-2006, he was the president and general manager of KFSN-TV, the ABC-owned television station in Fresno, California and the number one rated television station in the market. While under his reign, the station won several regional Edward R. Murrow Awards and the Emmy award for best newscast three years in a row.

Lerner comes to KIRO-TV with an extensive background in broadcast news. From 1998-2001, Lerner served as news director of WLS-TV in Chicago and news director of KING-TV in Seattle from 1995-1998. Prior to that, Lerner served as news director of KWCH-TV in Wichita, Kansas and held other news management positions at WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island and WHEC-TV in Rochester, New York.

Lerner also worked at WKBW-TV in Buffalo, New York and WFMY-TV in Greensboro, North Carolina as a news producer and at WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa as a special projects producer. He began his career at Frank N. Magid Associates in Marion, Iowa as an assistant news consultant.
