The Hood Canal Bridge closed on schedule early Friday morning.

It will be closed for six weeks of repairs.

I went out to the Hood Canal Bridge two days before the closure was set to begin to try out the water shuttle. I found it to be quite comfortable with easy access. It'll take you around 20 - 30 minutes to get accross the river. There will be buses waiting on each side to take you to park and offer rides to other destinations. "Jenni - What time does the closure start?"- Paul

Answer: The last time you will be able to drive over the bridge for around 6 weeks is midnight Thursday. WSDOT plans to close it at 12:01 a.m. Friday morning.
