New Cameras In Federal Way, Tacoma School Zones

TACOMA, Wash. -- New cameras installed in Tacoma and Federal Way school zones will target speeders.KIRO's partner, the News Tribune, reported the speed cameras will be turned on at Saghalie Middle School and Twin Lakes Elementary in Federal Way on Thursday. Another camera will soon be installed outside Panther Lake Elementary.Tacoma is waiting for permits to turn on cameras near Downing and McCarver elementary schools, and Stewart Middle School.Speeders will receive a ticket in the mail ranging from $101 in Tacoma to up to $200 in Federal Way.
