Hogan's Blog: Tuesday Morning Commute

Happy Tuesday! There is patchy fog in many places this morning so expect to get some areas of low visibility on your commute. We'll let you know if anything pops up in your way during the morning commute.

Here are the things that may have slowed you down Tuesday morning:

Snohomish: Our traffic desk is hearing 2 deer have been hit on SR 522 at Echo Lake Road. TIME: 6:46am

Thurston County: Collision blocks left lane southbound US101 near Olympia. Right lane is open. WSP and Fire on the scene via WSDOT. TIME: 6:40am

Tacoma: SR 509 is down to one lane in each direction, from I-705 to Port of Tacoma Road during construction that will last until June 2010. The recommended alternate route is I-5 and I-705 via WSDOT. TIME: 6:19am

Kitsap County: A 2 car crash at Banner Rd SE & Crescent Valley Rd SE in Olalla. TIME: 5:55am

Downtown Seattle: New accident in the same spot I-5 south at Mercer. 2 right lanes blocked. Move left. TIME: 5:44am.

Downtown Seattle: I-5 south at Mercer left lane blocked by a couple of vehicles. TIME: 4:40am UPDATE: Downtown Seattle I-5 south at Mercer st. a rollover has 3 lanes now blocked. TIME: 4:49am UPDATE: Downtown Seattle I-5 south at Mercer St. the 2 left lanes are now open. TIME: 5:10am

Whatcom County: I-5 south approaching Lake Samish Way. WSP responding to a car on fire. TIME: 5:09am

Ferry Alert: Port Townsend/Keystone - The 6:45pm/8:30pm from Port Townsend 7:30pm/ 9:15pm from Keystone are cancelled due to tidal conditions. Extra sailings at 8:50pm from Port Townsend and 9:35pm from Keystone via WSDOT. TIME: 4:43am

Overnight Construction: I-90, I-405 through Renton- All work should be cleared by 5:00am.
