SEATTLE -- Sci-fi fans rejoice. Friday marked the opening of the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. It's located in Seattle at the foot of the Space Needle. Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen built the 13,000 square-foot museum next-door to his Experience Music Project. Like that rock music museum, the science fiction museum offers interactive displays and memorabilia from sci-fi literature, movies and TV. The Hall of Fame currently showcases 36 famous sci-fi authors -- from Mary Shelley and H.G. Wells to Sir Arthur C. Clarke and Robert Heinlien.New members will be inducted annually beginning in 2005.The featured exhibit at the museum is "The Changing Face Of Mars: the past, present, and future of the "Martians" and their red planet."To find out more, visit Sci-Fi Museum.
