A Pond Turns Into a Huge Sinkhole

It looks like a huge bite has been taken out of this highway. This giant sinkhole in the U.S. state of Ohio appeared suddenly. It happened so fast witnesses had to dash to stop approaching traffic. What started as a pond is now the size of four football fields. The U.S. Transport Department says an asphalt company dredging the area for sand may have eroded enough of the land to cause the collapse. The damage may not be permanently repaired until well into next year.
